Form 207F Insurance Premiums Tax Return Nonresident and Foreign Companies

 

INSTRUCTIONS: CONNECTICUT INSURANCE PREMIUMS TAX RETURN NONRESIDENT AND FOREIGN COMPANIES (Form 207F)

 

 

Nonresident and foreign companies doing business in Connecticut use a form 207F to document their insurance premium taxes due. This document is found on the section of the website of the state of Connecticut maintained by the Department of Revenue Services.

 

Connecticut Insurance Premiums Tax Return Nonresident And Foreign Companies 207F Step 1: In the section labeled "General Information," check the box next to line A if you are filing an amended return. Check the box next to line B if filing regarding a change of address or domicile. If the latter, enter the new domicile. If this is a form for a short period, enter the period covered on line C. If this is a final return, indicate with a check mark whether the business is no longer licensed in Connecticut, out of business, or merged or reorganized. If the latter two, give the state registration number of the new company. In section E, indicate with a check mark if your insurance company is currently in receivership or rehabilitation.

 

Connecticut Insurance Premiums Tax Return Nonresident And Foreign Companies 207F Step 2: Give the your company name, its address, state tax registration number, federal employer identification number, and the state under whose laws the company was organized.

 

Connecticut Insurance Premiums Tax Return Nonresident And Foreign Companies 207F Step 3: Enter your gross direct premiums received for the calendar year in question on line 1. Lines 2 through 4 concern allowable deductions, which should be totaled on line 5. Subtract line 5 from line 1 and enter the difference on line 6.

 

Connecticut Insurance Premiums Tax Return Nonresident And Foreign Companies 207F Step 4: Lines 7 through 22 provide instructions to calculate the estimated tax due for the year or, if you have overpaid, the refund due. 

 

Connecticut Insurance Premiums Tax Return Nonresident And Foreign Companies 207F Step 5: Lines 22c through 22e should be completed if owed a refund and wish to receive it as a direct deposit.

 

Connecticut Insurance Premiums Tax Return Nonresident And Foreign Companies 207F Step 6: Lines 23 through 26 should be completed if filing late or you previously underpaid taxes. 

 

Connecticut Insurance Premiums Tax Return Nonresident And Foreign Companies 207F Step 7: The treasurer, or an officer or authorized agent of the company, should sign and date the bottom of the page.
