INSTRUCTIONS: CONNECTICUT DIVORCE COMPLAINT (DISSOLUTION OF MARRIAGE) (Form JD-FM-159)

During divorce proceedings in the state of Connecticut, either party may file a form JD-FM-159 at the start. If one person files this Divorce Complaint (Dissolution of Marriage) against their spouse, it should be submitted along with a Summons form (JD-FM-3) and Notice of Automatic Court Orders (JD-FM-158). This form can also be filed by the other spouse as a "cross complaint." If this is the case, it should be submitted to the court along with an Answer (JD-FM-160) form. If any of these children are in the custody of another person or a parent has been ordered to pay support, note the names of both these parties.
