Form 301 is used to claim nonrefundable individual tax credits and recapture in Arizona. This document can be obtained from the website of the Arizona Department of Revenue.
Arizona Nonrefundable Individual Tax Credits And Recapture 301 Step 1: If not filing for the calendar year printed on the form, enter the beginning and ending dates of your fiscal year.
Arizona Nonrefundable Individual Tax Credits And Recapture 301 Step 2: In the first blank box, enter your name as it appears on form 140, 140PY, 140NR or 140X.
Arizona Nonrefundable Individual Tax Credits And Recapture 301 Step 3: In the second blank box, enter your Social Security number.
Arizona Nonrefundable Individual Tax Credits And Recapture 301 Step 4: If filing a joint return, in the third blank box enter your spouse's name as it appears on form 140, 140PY, 140NR or 140X.
Arizona Nonrefundable Individual Tax Credits And Recapture 301 Step 5: If applicable, enter your spouse's Social Security number in the fourth blank box.
Arizona Nonrefundable Individual Tax Credits And Recapture 301 Step 6: Part I concerns documentation of nonrefundable individual tax credits. On lines 1 through 27, you may document the total available tax credits for each category. These must be supported by supporting documentation from forms 302 to 345.
Arizona Nonrefundable Individual Tax Credits And Recapture 301 Step 7: Add lines 1 through 27 and enter the resulting sum on line 28.
Arizona Nonrefundable Individual Tax Credits And Recapture 301 Step 8: Enter your name and Social Security number at the top of the second page.
Arizona Nonrefundable Individual Tax Credits And Recapture 301 Step 9: Part II concerns application of tax credits and recapture. Complete lines 29 through 37 as instructed.
Arizona Nonrefundable Individual Tax Credits And Recapture 301 Step 10: The bottom half of the second page concerns nonrefundable tax credits actually being claimed. Enter the total number of credits claimed in the categories listed on lines 38 through 64.
Arizona Nonrefundable Individual Tax Credits And Recapture 301 Step 11: Enter the total of lines 38 through 64 on line 65. This total cannot be greater than the total on line 37. Transfer this value to line 26 of form 140, line 29 of form 140PY, line 28 of form 140NR or line 32 of form 140X as applicable.
