INSTRUCTIONS: CLAIMS FOR REAL PROPERTY TAX DEDUCTION ON DWELLING HOUSE OF QUALIFIED NEW JERSEY RESIDENT SENIOR CITIZEN, DISABLED PERSON, OR SURVIVING SPOUSE/SURVIVING CIVIL PARTNER (Form PTD)

 

New Jersey senior citizens, disabled people, and surviving widowers or civil partners may file a form PTD seeking a real property tax deduction on their primary residence provide their income from all sources is not expected to exceed $10,000 for the year. This document can be found on the website of the state of New Jersey.

 

Claims For Real Property Tax Deduction On Dwelling House Of Qualified New Jersey Resident Senior Citizen, Disabled Person, Or Surviving Spouse/Surviving Civil Partner PTD Step 1: Enter the name of the claimant on line 1 and the full address on line 2.

 

Claims For Real Property Tax Deduction On Dwelling House Of Qualified New Jersey Resident Senior Citizen, Disabled Person, Or Surviving Spouse/Surviving Civil Partner PTD Step 2: On line 3, enter the year of the tax year you are filing for. Check the boxes on line 4 to confirm your eligibility.

Only complete line 5b if residing in a coop or mutual housing corporation.

On line 7, give your date of birth and indicate your marital or civil union status.

 

Claims For Real Property Tax Deduction On Dwelling House Of Qualified New Jersey Resident Senior Citizen, Disabled Person, Or Surviving Spouse/Surviving Civil Partner PTD Step 5: On line 8, check the box to sub-sections A, B or C depending on which his applicable.

 

Claims For Real Property Tax Deduction On Dwelling House Of Qualified New Jersey Resident Senior Citizen, Disabled Person, Or Surviving Spouse/Surviving Civil Partner PTD Step 6: If you received a previous tax deduction for the same tax year, give the location of the residence on line 9. Sign and date the form.
