INSTRUCTIONS: NEW HAMPSHIRE PERMANENT APPLICATION FOR PROPERTY TAX CREDIT/EXEMPTIONS (Form PA-29)

 

 

New Hampshire residents who are elderly, disabled, veterans or whose homes make use of solar, woodheating or wind energy are eligible for permanent property tax credits and exemptions. You must apply for these by April 15 of the year in which you qualify by filing a form PA-29. This document is found on the website of the New Hampshire Department Of Revenue Administration.

 

New Hampshire Permanent Application For Property Tax Credit/Exemptions PA-29 Step 1: The first section requires applicants to provide their name, mailing address, and the address of the property in question.

 

New Hampshire Permanent Application For Property Tax Credit/Exemptions PA-29 Step 2: The second section is only for veterans seeking an exemption on this basis. Provide your name and dates of service. Indicate with a check mark if you are a veteran, their spouse or surviving spouse, and if you are seeking an exemption in connection with disability or death incurred in the course of service. Veterans of allied countries should provide all information regarding their service where indicated. 

 

New Hampshire Permanent Application For Property Tax Credit/Exemptions PA-29 Step 3: The third section requires you to indicate with a check mark if you are seeking an exemption on the basis of age, disability or homestead energy sources. The elderly must be at least 65 years of age and provide their date of birth.

 

New Hampshire Permanent Application For Property Tax Credit/Exemptions PA-29 Step 4: In the fourth section, indicate if you are seeking an exemption for any improvements made to benefit the deaf or disabled.
